Base Pay:

$70k - $100k, plus excellent benefits, including paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan, and 100 percent company-paid employee health, life, and disability insurance. Approximately 85 to 90 percent of family medical is also covered.

Summary

We are looking to hire a self-driven and passionate civil or structural engineer to work closely with our lead bridge engineer who has over 25 years of experience designing short and mid-span steel girder and prestressed concrete bridges. Responsibilities

• Provide design engineering, including development of drawings and specifications for roadways, culverts, small and mid-span bridges, etc. to be used by contractors or owners for construction improvements. • Provide project management for the design team. • Provide in-field technical assistance for construction, utilities coordination, and subconsultant management and coordination. • Coordinate environmental permits and clearances. • Coordinate with clients and contractors. • Prepare cost estimates and quantity take-offs. • Participate in public meetings. • Meet the financial goals for both the client and the company

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of design experience developing bridge drawings and specifications. (preferred but not mandatory) • Familiarity with ODOT and/or WSDOT funding programs and procedures (preferred but not mandatory). • Experience completing “local agency” type roadway and bridge projects. (preferred but not mandatory) • A four-year civil or structural engineering degree. • Training and/or classes in prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, and steel. • An Oregon Professional Engineer’s License, or the ability to obtain one within 1 to 3 years of employment. DESIRED SKILL AND EXPERIENCE • Public speaking skills with experience participating in meetings with clients, the public, and contractors. • Experience in developing and writing planning documents, work agreements, and task orders. • Project management experience including managing subconsultants. • Ability to lead, train, and motivate others and contribute to a team environment. • Experience in developing effective long-lasting relationships with clients, peers, and management. • Experience with scheduling, managing resources, reviewing, and timely deliverables.
