Base Pay:

$65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, which include paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan, and 100 percent company-paid employee health, life, and disability insurance.

Summary

Anderson Perry & Associates, Inc. (AP) is looking for a full-time electrical engineer to join our group of professionals to provide personalized engineering services to communities and clients throughout central and eastern Oregon and Washington. The ideal candidate would be an engineer who is willing to work with a senior licensed electrical engineer to learn the craft and become the lead, licensed electrical engineer for AP, with potential for future ownership possibilities in a thriving engineering partnership. AP has offices in La Grande, Redmond, and Hermiston, Oregon, and Walla Walla, Washington. The greatest need for this position is in La Grande, but other office locations will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team to plan and design electrical components on a variety of infrastructure improvements associated with public utilities and industrial systems. • Assist other engineers in completing designs and developing studies, reports, construction cost estimates, design drawings, and technical specifications for public agency and private infrastructures projects. • Be actively involved in project permitting and construction engineering.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience of design work in the field of electrical engineering for the project types described above is preferred, but not required. • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. • Have or be able to obtain Engineering Intern status in Oregon or Washington within one year of employment. • Professional Engineer licensure is preferred, but not required. • Desire to become a licensed professional engineer, if not already. • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with design staff, clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies. • Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred. • Valid driver’s license.
