(AP) is looking for a full time Computer Aided Design (CAD) drafter to join our team of drafters in eastern Oregon and Washington. The AP team includes 5 seasoned CAD drafters with extensive experience in aiding Civil Engineers in design of projects. AP’s drafting team has helped produce hundreds of design drawings in eastern Washington and Oregon for a variety of federal, state, local, and private entities on a wide variety of water, wastewater, transportation, irrigation, and water resource related projects. Our drafting team utilizes the latest software available primarily, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation, to meet clients’ requirements in a timely and accurate manner. Our preferred location for this position is our Redmond or La Grande office, but other offices will be considered as well.
• Work with a team to design a variety of water, wastewater, transportation, water resource, bridge and other civil engineering and related projects, including infrastructure and site development projects. • Assist design technicians and engineers in producing accurate design drawings for various site and infrastructure projects.
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Proficient in building surfaces from survey point data, modeling grading objects, roadway corridors, pipe networks, and terrain surfaces utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D software. • Ability to understand engineering schematic drawings and plans is required. • Good communication skills to interact with engineers and other staff. • Entry- to mid-level candidates are preferred.
