$18.00-22.00 per hour plus paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan, and 100 percent company-paid employee health, life, and disability insurance. Approximately 85 percent of family medical is also covered.

Summary

Anderson Perry & Associates, Inc. (AP) is looking for a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team in Walla Walla, Washington. The Walla Walla team includes technical editors, engineers, surveyors, technicians, and other professional project support staff. Responsibilities

• Answer telephone, route calls, and greet clients at the front desk. • Prepare and mail or ship documents and other items. Route incoming mail and packages through the office. • Print, copy, and/or bind documents; fold figures and maps; create PDFs; email files. • File and retrieve documents according to an existing company file management system. • Update company databases/informational systems. • Provide support for internal and external meetings and office functions. • Order food, set up, and clean up after company meetings. • Assist the Human Resources department as assigned. • Assist the Technical Editing department with typing, editing, and proofreading various company documents as assigned. Communicate with co-workers as necessary to ensure documents are as requested and deadlines are met. • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two years of reception and/or administrative support experience desired. This is not an entry-level position. • Experience with document organization and interdepartmental communications. • High proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, producing charts in Excel, and compiling and manipulating PDF files. • Experience using SharePoint is desired. • Experience with technical writing, proofreading, and/or editing or a degree in English, journalism, or communications is desired, but not required. • Ability to work independently and prioritize work. • Willing to work under tight deadlines and ability to change priorities as needed. • Ability to maintain confidentiality. • Ability to perform light to moderate physical work demands, including bending and reaching; carrying/moving paper, files, and boxes; using stairs and step-stools; and lifting up to 40 pounds. • Ability to sit or stand for long periods. • Valid driver's license.
