By submitting an application for the Anderson Perry Engineering Scholarship (the "Scholarship"), applicants agree to the following terms and conditions:
Consent to Use of Name, Image, and Application Materials
By applying for the Scholarship, applicants grant Anderson Perry & Associates, Inc. permission to use their name, photograph, likeness, and submitted application for promotional purposes. Applicants also agree to provide a high-resolution, school yearbook-style photograph, which must be professional in appearance, within one week of being selected for the award. These materials may be shared on the Organization's social media platforms, website, newsletters, and other marketing or public relations materials, both online and offline.
Privacy and Data Protection
The Organization is committed to protecting applicants' personal data. Contact information and sensitive personal details will not be publicly shared without explicit consent. The Organization will use applicants' information solely for purposes related to the Scholarship.
Release of Liability
Applicants release the Organization from any liability arising from the use of their submitted materials or personal information for promotional purposes, as long as such use complies with these terms.
Non-Guaranteed Promotion
The Organization reserves the right to determine which Scholarship recipients or applicants will be featured on its social media platforms and marketing materials. Promotion is not guaranteed for every applicant or recipient.
Content Ownership and Licensing
Applicants affirm that they are the sole creators and owners of all content submitted as part of their application. By submitting an application, applicants grant the Organization a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, edit, and display the content for promotional purposes. The Organization’s use of the content will respect the applicant’s original intent and intellectual property rights.
Right to Modify or Edit Content
The Organization reserves the right to edit or modify application materials, including essays, quotes, or other submitted content, for clarity, brevity, or suitability for public display. Any edits will maintain the applicant’s original message and intent.
Publicity Authorization
Scholarship recipients may be required to sign a separate publicity release authorizing the Organization to use their name, photograph, and likeness for promotional purposes. This authorization will not affect their eligibility to receive the Scholarship.
Eligibility and Authenticity
Applicants confirm that all information provided in their application is true, accurate, and complete to the best of their knowledge. Providing false or misleading information may result in disqualification and revocation of the Scholarship award.
Compliance with Social Media Platform Policies
The Organization will comply with the rules and policies of any social media platforms used to promote the Scholarship. Applicants acknowledge that these platforms have their own terms and conditions that govern users' interactions with content.
Enrollment Verification and Fund Disbursement
Awarded applicants must submit official enrollment verification to the Organization a minimum of 45 days prior to the start of their first term. Once enrollment has been verified, the Organization will release the scholarship funds directly to the educational institution.
Finalist Interviews
Applicants understand that finalists for the Scholarship will be required to participate in an interview as part of the selection process. Failure to be available for an interview during the scheduled time period, as indicated on the application timeline, will result in disqualification from further consideration.
Agreement to Terms
By submitting an application, applicants confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions. This agreement is considered binding upon submission of the application.
